Get Involved

The Office of Community Standards offers various volunteer/leadership opportunities for faculty, staff, and students. These roles allow community members to have a meaningful role and voice in the adjudication process of individual students and student organizations/groups. These various opportunities are also a valuable way for community members to share their feedback with the Office of Community Standards.

Opportunities for 宅男福利导航s

宅男福利导航 Representatives

宅男福利导航 Representatives are utilized in the University Hearing and Appeals System (UHAS) sanctioning panels when a student or student organization/group has been found responsible for a separation level 宅男福利导航 Code of Conduct policy violation(s) after an investigation. UHAS sanctioning panels comprise of three faculty, staff, and/or student representatives that convene to make determinations on sanctioning. 宅男福利导航 Representatives are not involved in sanctioning panels involving violations of the Office of Civil Rights and Title IX Compliance (OCR) policies.

宅男福利导航 Representatives can also serve as a co-Case Resolution Coordinator with an OCS staff member for non-separation level cases of alleged University policy violation (non-OCR policies) involving student organizations/groups.

宅男福利导航 Handbook Advisory Committee

The 宅男福利导航 Handbook Advisory Committee consists of students who review the current 宅男福利导航 Handbook and suggest revisions beneficial to the 宅男福利导航 community and those who participate in the student conduct process (respondents, reporters, and witnesses).

宅男福利导航 members of the group are recognized as stakeholders in the 宅男福利导航 Handbook’s contents. A new group is selected annually and meets throughout the spring quarter. If you are interested in serving on the committee, please contact the Office of Community Standards at community-standards@northwestern.edu 

How to Apply

Current undergraduate and graduate students interested in the 宅男福利导航 Representative role and/or involvement in the 宅男福利导航 Handbook Advisory Committee must complete an online application for consideration. The application will share information on responsibilities, expectations, and training requirements. If you are interested, please email community-standards@northwestern.edu for the application materials.

Opportunities for Faculty and Staff

Sanctioning Panelist

Faculty and Staff can be trained as a Sanctioning Panelist for the University Hearing and Appeals System (UHAS). Trained Faculty and Staff are utilized in sanctioning panels when a student or student organization/group has been found responsible for a separation level 宅男福利导航 Code of Conduct or Office of Civil Rights and Title IX Compliance (OCR) policy violation after an investigation. UHAS panels comprise of three faculty and/or staff that convene to make determinations on sanctioning.

Faculty and Staff interested in the UHAS Sanctioning Panelist role must complete an online form for consideration.
